Why analytics waits for you
Nothing is measured until you actively opt in. Scrolling, continued browsing and a closed banner are not consent, and the box is never pre-ticked.
Refusing costs you nothing: the same pages, the same access, the same answers. There is no advertising storage here, no retargeting and no cross-site tracking.
Your decision is itself stored on your device. Clearing this site’s storage clears it too, so we ask again — by then we genuinely no longer know.

- Pre-tick a box, or make refusing slower than accepting.
- Treat scrolling or a closed banner as agreement.
- Load a measurement script before you have opted in.
- Use a necessary cookie as a quiet way of counting readers.
- Ask again after you decline, hoping for a different answer.
